Yes, pausing payments on your HyperRing has no effect whatsoever on your physical payment card. The two operate independently once set up.

How It Works

- When you connect your payment card to your wearable, a digital version (token) of your card is created

- Pausing payments on your wearable only disables this digital token

- Your physical card maintains its own separate status and functionality

- Your bank treats these as separate payment methods sharing the same account

Scenarios When This Is Useful

1. Security while traveling: Pause your wearable payments while keeping your physical card active as a backup

2. Lending your wearable: If someone else needs to temporarily use your wearable (without payment capability)

3. Troubleshooting: If you're experiencing issues with your wearable payments, you can pause them while continuing to use your physical card

Important Notes

- Transactions made with your physical card will still appear on your statement as normal

- Credit limits and available balances are shared between your physical card and wearable

- If your physical card is lost or stolen and you report it to your bank, your bank might automatically deactivate all digital versions (including on your wearable)

- To resume using your HyperRing for payments, you'll need to reactivate payments through the HyperRing Pay app
