Currently, HyperRing support only one payment card at a time. This means:
- You can connect only one payment card to your HyperRing
- To use a different card, you must first remove the existing one and then add the new card
- The limitation is by design to ensure clarity about which card is being used for transactions
Why This Limitation Exists
- Security considerations: Simplifies the payment process and reduces potential for errors
- Technical constraints: The secure storage space in most wearable devices is optimized for single-card use
- User experience: Eliminates confusion about which card will be charged when making a payment
Alternatives for Multiple Cards
If you need flexibility with multiple cards, consider these options:
1. Multi-card services: Some payment services (like Curve) let you connect multiple cards to a single account, which can then be connected to your wearable
2. Multiple HyperRing: If you have different wearables, you can connect different payment cards to each one
3. Switching cards: You can remove and add different cards to your HyperRing as needed, though this requires going through the connection process each time
