The point of sale terminal does not react when I tap and pay with HyperRingUpdated 6 months ago

If the point of sale terminal doesn't react when you try to pay with your wearable device, there are several possible causes and solutions to try:

Check your HyperRing placement

The NFC antenna in your HyperRing needs to be positioned correctly against the payment terminal's reader. For HyperRing, The NFC chip is usually located on the palm side of the ring. Position the palm side of your ring directly against the payment terminal's contactless symbol

Ensure proper terminal contact

- Hold your HyperRing steady against the terminal for 1-2 seconds

- Try adjusting the position slightly if the first attempt doesn't work

- Some terminals have the NFC reader on the side or top rather than on the display screen

Common issues and solutions:

1. Terminal not accepting contactless payments: Not all terminals accept contactless payments. Ask the merchant if their terminal supports contactless.

2. Terminal requires PIN for high-value transactions: For purchases above a certain amount (varies by country and bank), you may need to enter your PIN on the terminal.

3. HyperRing not properly activated: Ensure your HyperRing has been properly activated for payments. Check the status in your HyperRing Pay app.

4. Interference from other NFC devices: Keep your phone and other NFC devices away while attempting to pay with your HyperRing.

If you've tried these solutions and still experience issues, please contact HyperRing support for further assistance.
